Out with the Old, In with the New

As you can see, Wired Vision has a new design. I was never that fond of the old one so I decided a new one was in order. Let me know what you think.

I’ll be adding the Portfolio section again as soon as it’s completed. If you spot any problems, stick in a comment and I’ll try to get it fixed asap.

Oh and by the way, I’m hoping to add another new section soon too, so watch out for it :D

Music for the jilted designer generation

I’m a big fan of music. I listen to it all day, everyday. The radio is on in our house from the time the first person gets up until the time the last person goes to bed. It’s been like that for as long as I can remember.

Although the radio is on, I prefer to play my own music when designing or coding. I’ve burn the majority of my cd’s onto the computers hard drive, so I’ve got a good selection to choose from.

Generally I like to listen to upbeat music (Gigi D’Agostino, Daftpunk, Fatboy Slim, Prodigy, etc) when coding and alternative music (Radiohead, Ocean Colour Scene, Keane, Snow Patrol, etc) when designing.

Have you got any favourite music for when you design or code?

The 6 Myths Of Creativity

Eight years ago, Amabile took her research to a daring new level. Working with a team of PhDs, graduate students, and managers from various companies, she collected nearly 12,000 daily journal entries from 238 people working on creative projects in seven companies in the consumer products, high-tech, and chemical industries.

An interesting article and one I think is worth reading.
